Hi Everyone,
Yesterday, September 8, 2005, the Supreme Judicial Court (SJC) of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts allowed for further appellate review (FAR) as requested by the District Attorney's office of Berkshire County, Mass. This should not be construed as bad news although we were hoping the SJC would not grant FAR. It means the SJC wants to look more closely at the ruling of "Required finding of not guilty" handed down by the appeals court on July 8, 2005. My understanding is that oral arguments will be heard in front of the SJC hopefully this fall with a ruling by the SJC within six months. I ask for your continued support and prayers for Michael and his appellate lawyer. I will get back to you as soon as there is more information to report.
